TAKE TEXAS BACK!
A bunch of thieves, thugs, and nutcases took over Texas. Then they used it as a stepping stone to Washington, DC.

They raided our treasury, stripped our schools and handed it all to their corporate cronies.

Y'all ready to do something about it?

Loony Tunes Perry Brings More Embarrassment and Shame to Texas

by: Libby Shaw

Tue Apr 27, 2010 at 16:43:21 PM CDT

Loony Tunes Rick Perry and other Texas Republicans on the far fringes of the whacko right and their bottomless pits of theatrical farces continue to embarrass the living daylights out of the people of Texas.   Naturally their latest crazed stunt includes none other but their best go to guy on the seriously deranged right, Glenn Beck.  In fact, Governor went as far as to make Glenn Beck an honorary Texan.

The governor should have consulted with the people of  Texas before he pulled such a stunt.  More than a handful of Texans have issues with TV personalities that are bigots and who spew violent hate rhetoric day in and day out.

Libby Shaw :: Loony Tunes Perry Brings More Embarrassment and Shame to Texas
On Saturday, Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) and several other elected officials boosted Fox News host Glenn Beck at an event at the Oil Palace in Tyler, TX. The day was full of right-wing flame-throwing, including Perry saying that he was "proud" to be in an "army" of anti-Obama Americans. Another prominent theme during the event was that the country has "drifted far away from its founding values":

Check out their most recent work in sheer lunacy.

Gov. Rick Perry, U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Tyler, and state Rep. Leo Berman also spoke, all delivering similar messages.

Berman told the crowd, "I believe that Barack Obama is God's punishment on us today, but in 2012, we are going to make Obama a one-term president."

Gohmert said, "The longer we go, the more we see how important it is to stick with principles."

Is there a psychiatrist in the house?

Our esteemed Texas Republicans are gifts that keep on giving to comedians David Letterman, Jay Leno, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, SNL and others. There will be a lot of late night TV entertainment coming our way real soon.  Get your popcorn ready folks.

The time in which God really punished us is from 2000 to 2008.  After eight long, dark and miserable years of W. we find ourselves at the bottom  of hell.  Jobs are gone.  Homes are gone.  Retirement pension funds and savings have bitten the dust too.  Everything the Bush Administration touched on behalf of the American people turned to sh*t.  And now the Texas Republicans counterparts in Washington have demonstrated that they want to take things back to the olden days of the Bush Administration.

This is one of the reasons for which the entire national Republican Party continues to stand by its man on Wall St.

Ten years of Rick Perry have likewise taken us to an even lower level in hell.  Our schools are ranked at the bottom of the national pile.  Our high school drop rates have increased exponentially under the Perry regime and our state boasts the highest number of uninsured residents.  Jobs have disappeared and home prices have declined.  Insurance costs have soared.   Lobbyists continue to write legislation on behalf of the interests of the corporate entities they serve.  Business gets the breaks and the bucks while the people get next to zip, nada, zilch.

Rick Perry is a de facto dictator who continues, with a lot of help from enabling cronies, to coverup up the execution of an innocent man.  Perry refuses to take responsibility for a horrible event that happened on his watch.

So sure, Governor, carry on with Glenn and your  crazy colleagues. Keep on throwing your right wing flames. President Obama and Mr. White carry  some mighty big and impressive hoses. So do Democratic voters.  Tip toe through the tulips and play a ukulele while you are at it. Your silly theatrical farces and nonsense will never be able to distract Texans from the fact that you are one of the worst governors in recent Texas history.

Congratulations Mr. Perry,  for you have managed to beat the former Governor George W. Bush in that department.

Violent hate rhetoric?  Please provide the exact words Glenn Beck has said that you consider to be "violent hate rhetoric".  Thank you.

Maybe Glenn Beck can use his (0.00 / 0)
honorary Texas citizenship certificate as a passport in which he can enter the newly formed right wing Republican police state of Arizona.

Of course Glenn should have no problem whatsoever with racial profiling given the fact that Glenn looks and acts like a perfect clone of the Pillsbury white dough boy.

In order to tune into Glenn's hate rhetoric one must only view his daily show on the cable FOX "News" channel.

For a lighter version of Beckian bigotry and hate, Comedy Central comedians Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert offer interesting alternatives to right wing insanity.

That's what I thought. You can't tell me, and the reason you can't tell me is because it isn't true.  If it was true, you wouldn't have any trouble providing a youtube link.  But you didn't.  Because you can't.  Thank you for illustrating how little bite is behind your bark.

why bother? (4.00 / 1)
You'll just post some out-of-context reference to a Cato Institute study on how Amazon tree frogs are really free-market independent agents, thus supporting the Heritage Foundation's rain forest logging with illegal immigrants initative (aptly named the "Freedom Work's Patriotic Save The World's Forest" campaign).

Once the OP does the hard work of taking the time to do real research in a good faith effort to actually prove something, thereby refuting your daily supply of wingnut talking points, what will you do?  One or more of the following:

a) repeat above described behavior,
b) not answer anything relevant to the discussion at hand,
c) go off on some wierd tangent, then act surprised when the discussion gets steered back on track,
d) whine about how the OP didn't really prove anything and won't answer your posts,
e) all of the above,
f) wash, rinse, repeat.

As to GBs sacred tears, his language is dog-whistle coded for the ignorant bigot.  Don't pretend you don't understand.

"Take our country back" = "Take our country back from that Nigger."
"Obama = Marxist" =  There's a nigger in the White House and he's giving away free shit to the other niggers!

And so on.

The GOP feels a great sense of entitlement.  They're entitled to the Presidency.  They're entitled to the country (but no one else is).  They're entitled to welfare subsidies, tax cuts, and otherwise having their every whim serviced immediately, or they'll pout like 3-year-olds denied their nth piece of cake.

I really can't blame them.  After all, they are morally superior to the rest of us.

There are more than a few you tube video clips (0.00 / 0)
that captures Glenn Beck's bigotry.  You know where to find them and you know what they contain.  The fact that you don't see the hateful and racist rhetoric as hateful and racist rhetoric says a lot.

Why don't you go hang out with your soul mates at Red State?  The Dallas blog also has its fair share of right wing racists.  Some of them post racist comments unabashedly.  The moderators obviously don't have a problem with it b/c they rarely ban it.  I am sure there are an abundance of Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh worship groups at both of the above blogs.

I have another question for you, not that you will answer it.  Can you tell me why the teabaggers are not storming Wall St. with their AK47's and assault rifles given what 6-7 fat cat banks have done to our economy?  As we have learned, these banks are responsible for the loss of millions of jobs in the U.S. economy, the devastation of middle class American's retirement pension funds and for thousands of mortgage foreclosures.   Where is the teabagger outrage?  All should be frothing at the mouth over this.  I am surprised the group has not firebombed Wall St. by now. Did Glenn tell the tea party people that it is OK for the fat cat banks to kill our economy?

Why was the teabagger outrage focused solely on health care reform?  Is it b/c Dick Armey and Fox "News" told you all to get mad about HCR.  God forbid should some undeserving uninsured minorities be able to finally afford health insurance.

Did Glenn and Rush say it is OK that Goldman Sachs could mislead and rob its investors blind b/c all are a bunch of seriously wealthy and white and therefore deserving men?

You people should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing your heads to be filled with a bunch of garbage from a bunch of self-serving, racist, morally bankrupt and intellectually dishonest men who are still living in an era of Richard Nixon's southern strategy.

Reply #2 from Libby Shaw.  Still no links or even a quote of what she regards as "violent hate rhetoric".  Hmmm...

I see you're going with 'd' . (0.00 / 0)
For the moment, anyway.
